Red Carpet Fashion: Oscar 2012 After Parties

As great as the Red Carpet looks are, let's not count out the amazing fashions from all the star-studded After Parties! And since I didn't list any honorable mentions from the arrivals as I usually do, I figured I would show case a few party looks instead! I won't go into as much detail as the awards season picks but here are some fabulous ladies rocking gorgeous gowns & dresses

This was my favorite look of the night aside from Gwyneth's amazing white Tom Ford cape & gown. Kate Bosworth showed up to the Vanity Fair after party wearing a sheer beaded Prabal Gurung dress and simple black accessories. I love how she makes this outfit look effortless even though the dress is so intricate. Proof that sometimes all you need are clean and classic additions that let your stunning dress shine. I would wear this look in a heartbeat.

Georgina Chapman, part of the duo behind Marchesa, also attended Vanity Fair's bash. She chose a gorgeous and structured white design from... you guessed it! Marchesa! I adore this fashion forward choice and her pink lipstick! Plus, I need that shoulder detail in my life ASAP!

The lovely Claire Danes (and frequent BAD Red Carpet favorite) attended the Merecedes Benz viewing party wearing this girly raspberry pink Valentino number. I can't say for sure if I would have had the same reaction had she worn this on red carpet, but for some reason I think it's perfection!

Kate Hudson has been MIA lately from events so I was really excited to see her show up to the Vanity Fair party. I was event more excited about her vintage inspired Atelier Versace fringe dress. I feel like it's the perfect mix of 1920's cool with modern sophistication. The illusion necklace is a nice touch and I love the color!

As great as Cameron Diaz's Oscar ceremony dress was, her hair and her visible tan lines were a hot mess! I feel like she could have styled her cropped do a bit nicer for the awards (since she was a presenter and all) However this orange Victoria Beckham tank dress is much more fitting and easy going which matches that short hair perfectly. Much better Cam!

Although she is newly single (tear!) Heidi Klum isn't letting that stop her fashion A-game. She showed up to Elton John's shindig wearing her favorite style - a short mini to show off those killer legs! This yellow Atelier Versace frock has futuristic touches from metallic shoulder details and an open back. I think she's got some capped Louboutins on and gold cuffs for additional accessories. Super bright and super fun!

Last but not least, stylist (and now designer) Rachel Zoe sported her trademark boho style with a twist to the Vanity Fair gala. I'm not totally sure on the designer of her dress, I think it might be Dior, but Zoe wasn't about to miss out on the White red carpet trend. She also added a huge statement necklace, filigree cuff and metallic bag for finishing touches. Love!

So what do you guys think? Do you love any of these designs over the Red Carpet looks? Tell me! :) Happy Wednesday!! xoxo

  1. Is it odd I thought Cameron looked weird the whole night?? Maybe it's the hair, too short? I was obsessed with Kates dress, and rachel looked fab! Also loved Georginas. So funny how much coral/orange/red hues were out and about on Oscar night!
